Our founder, Ned, graduated from Bristol University in 2007, after which he taught English as an additional language. His mother, an esteemed and hugely experienced teacher of the same subject, had ensured he knew what a past participle was and that the stress is on the ‘par’. When teaching, Ned enjoyed sharing his love of grammar and his passion for getting it right.
Ned’s first job in advertising was at Leagas Delaney, when he became Account Director New Business. In the role, he worked with and attempted to learn from highly experienced copywriters, such as industry giants Tim Delaney and Nigel Roberts.
Ned has a wealth of experience in copywriting both on and offline. His background in sales means he is happy to help you tailor your content to appeal to businesses as well as consumers.

Sofya Samokhina
Sofya has a first-class degree in Linguistics and is fluent in three languages. For several years, Sofya worked for SHM Productions in Holborn, coordinating communications for a private international company. She has held financial and client administration roles in property management firms and for private care homes.
At Aligned Communications, Sofya is responsible for operations, finance and marketing. She also plays the central role in ensuring that our final product meets our clients' high expectations.
Her expertise in Russian and French allows us to work with clients in those countries who require copywriting and proofreading in English.
